Abundant Living

You Are Royalty

“Do you know of any parent who would give his hungry child, who asked for food, a plate of rocks instead? Or when asked for a piece of fish, what parent would offer his child a snake instead? If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?  Matthew 7:9-11 TPT

“As a member of My Royal Family everything has been provided for you! So, stop living like the world lives. Begin to see yourself as My beautiful Child, My son or daughter whom I love with a never-ending love. I provided everything to bring you back into relationship with Me. I gave you the choice and because you chose Me, now you are My very own child and I have made every provision for you. You need to begin to think about that! Meditate on exactly who you are and who your Father is. You are Royalty! You are My child, and as a member of My Royal Family every provision has been provided!

Would a king in this natural world allow one of his children to ever do without, or even to have to pay their own way when they go out into the world? No! Never! Why? Because they are royalty and they have all the benefits of being in the royal family! He loves them and he takes care of his own! They are royalty, just like he is. The royal family has no needs, no wants! Everything they will ever need or desire is available to them and it’s waiting for them to take! They don’t even have to think about it!

The children of the royal family expect royal treatment everywhere they go! They know that whatever they want or need, they can have it. They know that there are no limits to Daddy’s favor, his love or his provision!

Why would I do anything less? Why would I not provide for your every need or expect you to have to make your own way? Why do you see Me as doing less than a human king would do? Can’t you see that I would go far above and beyond what a human would ever do?

You have got to get this! You have got to get this into your thinking and allow it to take root in your heart! See yourself as Royalty, a member of My Royal Family! A precious child of the King! Expect royal treatment everywhere you go! Expect that I, Your Father have gone ahead of you and provided everything for you! Everything is available and waiting for you. Take it by faith, and enjoy all the benefits of being Royalty, of being a member of My Royal Family!

You may not be able to see in the natural where the money will come from. You don’t need to. Just expect it to be there when you need it! Don’t even think about it! Don’t let your heart dwell on that! My Word says, “Take no thought, saying…” So, stop thinking “How?”, “Where?”, “What?”! I also said, ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).’ You have My blessing upon you and My promise that whatever you put your hand to will prosper.

Now, believe it! Go! Live carefree, without thoughts of cares and anxieties, knowing that whatever you need, has been provided! There are no limits, no boundaries, and no impossibilities in My Kingdom! You are in My Royal Family! You are Royalty!”

Destiny

Your Gifts

I have one question for you today. Well, actually two questions!

  • What is your gift?
  • Who is waiting on you and your gift?

You are unique and there is not another one just like you. In the same way God made you unique, He placed unique gifts and abilities in you!

Have you discovered what your unique gifts are? Having a gift or gifts means that God has enabled you with a particular gift and you are anointed to do it in a way that no one else can.

God gave us our gifts to be given away! There are people that are supposed to be touched and impacted with your gifts and they are waiting on you!

Say “Yes” and give your gifts away today!

Promises of God

Safety and Protection of Our God

This is something that I just need to share with you today! I have been reading The Passion Translation on my bible app for sometime now, but I had to buy one. Ok, I know! I’m old school, but there is something about holding that book in my hand, highlighting and writing notes in it! Anyway, I am loving The Passion Translation and am really enjoying the one I bought!

So, this morning in my quiet time with the Lord I was led to Psalm 121. I have always enjoyed this passage, but WOW! This morning when reading it from TPT, I was so overwhelmed with these awesome promises and I want to share it with you.

God Protects Us

Psalms 121 A song of the stairway
1–2 I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help.
But then I realize that our true help and protection
come only from the Lord,
our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.
He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall.
God is my keeper; he will never forget nor ignore me.
He will never slumber nor sleep;
he is the Guardian-God for his people, Israel.
Jehovah himself will watch over you;
he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.
He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night.
He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity
as he continually watches over you.
You will be guarded by God himself.
You will be safe when you leave your home
and safely you will return.
He will protect you now,
and he’ll protect you forevermore!

We take the promises of God and appropriate them by believing them and speaking them over our life. So, take this passage, speak it aloud over yourself and your family everyday, at home or when you leave home! When we believe in our heart and speak it forth, decreeing it over ourselves we can expect His promises to us to come to pass! 1 Corinthians 1:20 says “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

What awesome promises of God’s protection for us! Believe them and speak them for yourself and your family today.

Blessings to you!

Faith

What is Real Faith?

Hebrews 11:1-3 (The Passion Translation) Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. This testimony of faith is what previous generations were commended for. Faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen.

Real faith is not hoping and wishing. Real faith is based on what the Word of God says and being fully persuaded that God has done it and it is ours.

Romans 12:3 says that God has given to every man the measure of faith. This is God’s faith! Without it you couldn’t have been born again. There are two kinds of faith: man’s faith and God’s faith.

Man’s faith only believes in what can be seen. In other words, you don’t need any real faith to believe something that you can see or touch. But, God’s faith gives us the ability to believe in something that we can’t see, touch or feel, or contact with our five senses.

Before you were born again, you heard the message of salvation through Jesus Christ and what He had done through the finished work of the cross for you and God’s faith was born in you to believe that! Romans 10:9-10 says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” You believed in what you couldn’t see and you received the free gift of salvation!

Real faith is using the measure of faith that God has given to every born again person and believing in what we can’t see or touch. If we are believing for something that is possible we are not using God’s faith. It’s not until you believe in the impossible (what you can’t see or touch yet) that you begin to operate in God’s faith. If you’re not using your faith on something that is impossible (for you to do), you’re not using your God faith at all. All things are possible with God (“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26).

Mark 11:22-24 says, “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

When Jesus said, “Have faith in God”, He was saying, “Have the faith of God.” The faith of God in you will cause you to speak to things, circumstances in your life and command them to line up with the Word of God. You believe in your heart (not just with your head), and do not doubt in your heart. Then you speak it forth out of your mouth. That’s how God done it! We can read it in Genesis 1 when He created the world and everything in it. He saw darkness but He didn’t speak darkness; He said, “LIGHT BE!” and it was! He is a Creator and we are created in His image and after His likeness. So, we are to operate like Him! We believe in our heart, do not doubt in our heart and then speak forth what we want to see (not what we have) and according to what Jesus said in this scripture, we will have what WE SAY!

Proverbs 18:21 (AMPC) says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”

What does your life look like? Are you speaking what you have or what you want? Are you speaking words of Life (based on God’s Word) or are you speaking words of death (based on circumstances and what you see or feel)?

If you want to see real changes in your life begin to read the Bible and discover what you have already been given. Meditate on it and as you do, faith will begin to rise up in you. Then speak it forth and watch things change.

Are you complacent?

Complacency – A feeling of being satisfied with the way things are and unconcerned with changing them or making them better; a feeling of calm satisfaction with your own abilities or situation that prevents you from trying harder.

Synonyms – apathetic, casual, disinterested, unconcerned, contented

Antonyms- discontent, insecure, dissatisfied, unhappy

God spoke to me a few years ago that complacency is a deception of the enemy and its purpose is to steal our desire and motivation to change our circumstances, thus robbing us of our destiny.

If we are content with things the way they are, then we won’t do anything to change ourselves or our situation, whatever it might be. We lack the motivation to step out to change the things in our life that need to change. Often, this is because it is so much easier to not do anything than to put forth the work or the effort needed to change. In other words, taking the easy way. Another reason for complacency could be because we are fearful of taking a step of faith, of getting out of the boat to walk on the water!

However, we cannot live the abundant life here on this earth or do mighty things for the Kingdom of God if we are just going to sit in our little place of safety and security, being content with what we have and not willing to risk changing. We are satisfied with our little, menial life! We are complacent and this robs us of the peace and joy that we will have if we are willing to get off our laurels and work toward fulfilling God’s plan and destiny for our lives!

Psalms 82:5 AMP says, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in the darkness (of complacent satisfaction).

The Word of God calls complacency “darkness”! It is a tactic of the enemy to rob us of the great and mighty things that God has destined for us. It will cause us to abort God’s plan for our lives.

We should desire being uncomfortable, be willing to get out of our little comfort zone and stretch ourselves to fulfill God’s purpose for our life. God had to take Abraham into an unfamiliar, uncomfortable place to bring about the Promised Heir! Think about that! If Abraham had refused to leave his place of comfort and security, God could not have fulfilled through him the birth of Isaac and the coming of the Promised Seed, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer! Abraham would not be known today as Our Father of Faith!

Look at the antonyms above. Are you discontent, unhappy, and dissatisfied with your life? What great things do you think God wants to do through you? Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone, to take a leap of faith to accomplish God’s plan for your life? Do you realize that there are people God wants to reach through you? Step out today! Do something radical for yourself and for God!

The Free Gift

I love this passage of scripture! I will read and re-read it aloud in first-person, meditating on just what it is saying about what was freely given to me when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and what He accomplished for me at Calvary! Hallelujah!

Ephesians 2:8-10 (AMP)

8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

How marvelous this is!! I am so thankful for the freedom that I have in Jesus Christ, knowing that I don’t have to perform with religious and denominational rules to be in right standing with God, but that Jesus fully met every demand for me and He made me righteous.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMP) For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

We are righteous, approved, acceptable and in right relationship with God only by the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross. He accomplished this for every person, for all time.

Hebrews 10:10 (ERV) Jesus Christ did the things God wanted him to do. And because of that, we are made holy through the sacrifice of Christ’s body. Christ made that sacrifice one time—enough for all time.

Oh, how I love Him! And the really cool thing is, this free gift of salvation is available to everyone who will freely receive it! It’s yours for the taking!

If you haven’t done that and would like to, it is a very simple thing! Romans 10:9 says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

You receive it by faith and it is as easy as saying, “Jesus, I acknowledge that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I receive You as my Lord and Savior and I thank You for the free gift of salvation that You have so freely given me. In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am born again!”

You are now a new creation, recreated in Christ Jesus. This new birth took place in your spirit. You are a three part being: spirit (which is the real you), soul (your mind, will and emotions), and your body. Your spirit is what was recreated in Christ Jesus by receiving Him and it is sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:13 (NKJV) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Now begin to read the Bible and find out what you have received and who you are now in your spirit. The soul (mind, will and emotions) must be renewed by reading the Bible.

Romans 12:1-2 (CEV) Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That’s the most sensible way to serve God. 2 Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.

Don’t read it as a religious exercise! Read it and allow the Life of God that is in it change you from the inside out! It will truly be life-changing!

Blessings in the name of Jesus!
