They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step!
No journey ever gets completed that isn’t started. You take that first step and then you only have to take one step at a time. Getting started is by far the hardest part. I speak this from experience!
You see, in 2012 I took that first step. I left what I considered my security at that time, my job as a Registered Nurse and my family, all behind in Kentucky as I moved to Fort Worth, TX to start school at Charis Bible College Dallas.
Wow! This was a giant leap of faith for me! It was the first step in a dream that I had for several years…my dream of fulfilling the call and purpose of God for my life!
I moved from Fort Worth to Colorado in August 2013 to attend school at the main campus of Charis Bible College located in Woodland Park, CO. I graduated in May 2014 with my Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies and also received my Minister’s license, fulfilling my first dream. I finished my third year specializing in Media School at Charis Bible College in May 2015.
God’s plan for me is unfolding as I listen to Him and am obedient to follow! I’m not sure where He is taking me but I am listening for the next step. He only reveals one step at a time. That’s why it’s called “walking by faith.” When I hear Him, I will be obedient to do it!
God has a plan and a destiny for everyone of us. I hope this has inspired you to step out to pursue the dream and vision God has given you and fulfill your destiny. I pray that you decide to be bold and daring for God! There is no greater feeling than being obedient and living by faith, knowing that you are right smack dab in the middle of His will for you.
